Your first round
Ludo is a turn-based board game in which players move coloured tokens from a starting area around a shared track towards home. A die determines movement. The objective in many familiar versions is to bring all your tokens home before the other players.
Set up the game
Choose colours and agree on the rules before beginning. A physical board normally includes a starting yard for each colour, a shared track and separate home paths. In a mobile app, choose a mode and read its instructions: the number of players, token count and winning conditions can vary.
Take your turn
Roll the die and decide which eligible token to move. In many traditional versions, a six is needed to bring a token out of the starting area. Some formats use a different entry rule or offer an extra turn after particular rolls. Use the rules chosen for your session rather than assuming every app behaves the same way.
Watch the board
Notice opponents near your tokens and check which spaces are safe. A capture may return a token to its starting area. The conditions for capturing, blocking and safe spaces depend on the version you are playing.
Reach home
Your tokens enter their own home path after completing the track. Many versions require an exact roll to finish. If you cannot make a legal move, follow the mode’s instruction for passing the turn.
Start without pressure
Try a practice or local game first. Learn the controls, ask about unfamiliar rules and give everyone enough time to make a move.
